Plan Your Acoustic Recording Project

In this one-hour conference call we’ll discuss the options for your acoustic recording project. Whether you’re recording a bare-bones demo, a folk CD, or a stripped-down set of your full-production recordings, there’s a lot riding on your plans and decisions.

topics will include choosing a studio, picking your material, putting your team together, arranging, rehearsing, recording live versus overdubs, mixing, mastering, and anything else that comes up. We’ll go over the various roles involved, including producer, arranger, recording engineer, vocal coach, mastering engineer, and of course the musicians and singers themselves.

this will be a collaborative dialog where we’ll all share our experiences to point out the pros and cons of the many choices that go into making an acoustic recording.
