Scott’s Background

Scott has trained as a creativity coach with Eric Maisel, the world’s foremost leader in the field. Scott is a member of the Creativity Coaching Association.

As a musician, Scott has performed solo and in bluegrass, rock, folk, reggae, theater, and church groups. He has produced three CDs of his original Americana music, two of which were engineered by Les Thompson, founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Scott plays old-time fiddle with Feel The Wag. Since 2001 Scott has taught private lessons on guitar, fiddle, ukulele, and banjo.

In his information technology career, Scott has worked as a software engineer, project lead, and career coach. Prior to that he worked in various churches where he served as teacher, preacher, counselor, music coordinator, youth pastor, assistant pastor, board member, and office administrator. His church work included Mennonite, Wesleyan, United Church of Christ, and Evangelical Congregational communities.

  • M. Div. from Evangelical Theological Seminary
  • B. S. in Pastoral Ministries from United Wesleyan College
  • Graduate courses in Ancient Near East studies at Jerusalem University College in Israel
